SWEET'N SOUR SPARE RIBS
Serves: 4 servings
Ingredients
- 3 lbs. (2 strips spare ribs)
- salt and pepper
- ½ c. finely diced onions
- ¼ c. diced, green pepper
- 2 cans Hunts tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- ⅓ c. cider or wine vinegar
- 1 (No. 2) can pineapple tidbits & syrup
- ¼ c. brown sugar
- ½ tsp. dry mustard
Instructions
- Cut ribs half way through. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in shallow roasting pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1-1/4 hours.
- Drain off excess fat. While the ribs are roasting mix remaining ingredients and let stand to blend flavor. Pour over the ribs AFTER 1-1/4 hours baking. Bake 45-50 minutes longer, basting frequently to coat ribs.
