BROKEN GLASS TORTE
Ingredients
- 3 pkgs. gelatin (assorted flavors & colors)
- 3 c. hot water
- 1-3/4 c. cold water
- 1 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
- 1 c. hot pineapple juice
- 2 c. whipping cream
- ½ c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 12 double graham crackers
- ½ c. sugar
- ½ c. soft butter
Instructions
- Prepare the three packages of gelatin separately, using 1 cup hot water and ½ cup cold water for each package. Pour into separate shallow pans. Chill until firm. Then cut into ½ inch cubes. Dissolve 1 tablespoon gelatin in ¼ cup cold water. Add hot pineapple juice and cool until syrupy. Whip the cream; combine whipped cream; sugar and vanilla. Fold the whipped cream mixture into the pineapple mixture. Fold in the gelatin cubes. Line a 9x13 inch pan or a 10 inch tube pan with ½ the graham crust, made from the last three ingredients. Add gelatin mixture, Top with remaining graham cracker crust. Chill.
