SUGARED WALNUTS
- 1 c. brown sugar
- ¼ c. evaporated milk
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. walnut halves
- Mix first 4 ingredients. Cook to soft ball stage (minute or two).
- Remove from heat; add vanilla. Stir until syrup thickens enough to coat walnuts. Turn out on waxed paper. Separate with two forks.
