STEAK SOUP SUPREME
Ingredients
- ¾ c. margarine
- 1 c. flour
- 8 c. water
- 2 lbs. lean ground beef ( saute)
- 1 c. diced onions
- 1 c. diced carrots
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen corn
- 2 Tbsp. B. V. or Kitchen Bouquet
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 or 2 bouillon cubes
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
Instructions
- Melt oleo and stir in flour and gradually add the water.
- Drain the meat and add to the soup base. Parboil the onions, carrots and celery. Add to soup along with the frozen vegetables, seasonings and tomatoes. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. Makes about 3 quarts. Can be frozen.
