SHRIMP CREOLE
SHRIMP CREOLE
Serves: 6-8 servings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. peeled & deveined shrimp
- 6 stalks celery, chopped
- ½ green pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 (No. 303) can tomatoes
- 1 (10-1/2 oz.) can tomato soup
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- cooked rice
Instructions
- Cook, clean and devein shrimp. Cook celery, pepper, onion and garlic in shortening until tender. Add all other ingredients except shrimp and simmer for 45 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer for 15 minutes longer. Serve hot over hot, cooked rice.
