JANICE'S BAKED CHICKEN
Ingredients
- 6 chicken breasts
- ½ c. white wine
- ½ lb. fresh mushrooms
- ½ stick butter
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (8 oz.) tub sour cream
Instructions
- Debone 6 chicken breasts. Marinate 6-8 hours in ½ cup white wine in 9x13 inch baking dish.
- SautĂ© ½ lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced, in ½ stick butter. Remove mushrooms from pan and lightly brown the chicken breasts in same pan. Then place in baking dish with remaining wine.
- Mix cans of soup, sour cream, and sauted mushrooms. Spoon mixture over chicken breasts. Bake at 350 degrees for 1-1/4 hours, covered. Remove cover and add slivered almonds over surface. Bake uncovered 15 more minutes.
