ICE CREAM PIE
Ingredients
- 2 sq. chocolate
- ½ c. butter
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- ½ c. nuts
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 egg whites, beaten very stiff
- 1 package vanilla wafers
- 2 qts vanilla ice cream
Instructions
- Melt butter and chocolate together. Add sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and nuts. Add beaten egg yolks to chocolate mixture. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Crumb 1 package vanilla wafers. Line the bottom of 9x13 inch cake pan with wafers. Save one half for top. Put the chocolate mixture on the crumbs. Spread 2 quarts vanilla ice cream over chocolate mixture. Add rest of crumbs on top. Freeze.
