FUDGE CAKE
Ingredients
CAKE:
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. margarine
- ¼ c. cocoa
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 to 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- ½ c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
FROSTING:
- ⅓ c. buttermilk
- ½ c. margarine
- ¼ c. cocoa
- 1 (1 lb.) box confectioners sugar, sifted
- 1 c. pecans
Instructions
- Cake: Blend water, margarine and cocoa in saucepan; heat to boiling. Blend in next 4 ingredients which have been sifted together. Stir in eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Pour into greased 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees about 25-30 minutes. Spread with frosting while hot.
- Frosting: Heat buttermilk and margarine together to boiling. Pour over blended cocoa and confectioners' sugar. Beat until creamy; add pecans and pour over hot cake.
