SWEET'N SOUR SPARE RIBS
Serves: 4 servings
 
Ingredients
  • 3 lbs. (2 strips spare ribs)
  • salt and pepper
  • ½ c. finely diced onions
  • ¼ c. diced, green pepper
  • 2 cans Hunts tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • ⅓ c. cider or wine vinegar
  • 1 (No. 2) can pineapple tidbits & syrup
  • ¼ c. brown sugar
  • ½ tsp. dry mustard
Instructions
  1. Cut ribs half way through. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place in shallow roasting pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1-1/4 hours.
  2. Drain off excess fat. While the ribs are roasting mix remaining ingredients and let stand to blend flavor. Pour over the ribs AFTER 1-1/4 hours baking. Bake 45-50 minutes longer, basting frequently to coat ribs.
