KENTUCKY HOT BROWN
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. milk
- ⅛ tsp. chicken flavored bouillon granules
- 2 Tbsp. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 3 oz. sliced turkey
- 3 oz. sliced ham
- 2 slices bread, toasted
- 2 slices bacon, cooked
- 2 slices tomato, thin
- 1 tsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- Melt butter in saucepan over low heat: add flour and cook one minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk and bouillon; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Add Cheddar cheese and stir until cheese melts; set aside. Warm turkey and ham in skillet. Place one piece of toast in middle of an ovenproof plate or dish. Cut remaining piece of toast in half and place one half on each side of other piece of toast. Cover toast with turkey, then the ham.
- Spoon cheese sauce over meats and bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes. Top with bacon strips and top with tomato slices; bake an additional 5 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
