JANICE'S BAKED CHICKEN
 
Ingredients
  • 6 chicken breasts
  • ½ c. white wine
  • ½ lb. fresh mushrooms
  • ½ stick butter
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (8 oz.) tub sour cream
Instructions
  1. Debone 6 chicken breasts. Marinate 6-8 hours in ½ cup white wine in 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Sauté ½ lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced, in ½ stick butter. Remove mushrooms from pan and lightly brown the chicken breasts in same pan. Then place in baking dish with remaining wine.
  3. Mix cans of soup, sour cream, and sauted mushrooms. Spoon mixture over chicken breasts. Bake at 350 degrees for 1-1/4 hours, covered. Remove cover and add slivered almonds over surface. Bake uncovered 15 more minutes.
