STEAK SOUP SUPREME
 
Ingredients
  • ¾ c. margarine
  • 1 c. flour
  • 8 c. water
  • 2 lbs. lean ground beef ( saute)
  • 1 c. diced onions
  • 1 c. diced carrots
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen corn
  • 2 Tbsp. B. V. or Kitchen Bouquet
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 or 2 bouillon cubes
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
Instructions
  1. Melt oleo and stir in flour and gradually add the water.
  2. Drain the meat and add to the soup base. Parboil the onions, carrots and celery. Add to soup along with the frozen vegetables, seasonings and tomatoes. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. Makes about 3 quarts. Can be frozen.
