EASY ROLLS
 
Ingredients
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • ⅔ c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 packages of yeast
  • ½ c. lukewarm water
  • 2 eggs (or 3-4 egg yolks)
  • 8-10 cups flour
Instructions
  1. Pour two cups of boiling water over the sugar, salt, and shortening. Let cool. Mix 2 packages of yeast in ½ cup lukewarm water. When dissolved, add to the cooled mixture 2 eggs, beaten (or 3-4 egg yolks, also beaten slightly instead of whole eggs). Add 8-10 cups flour; beat. Then knead until smooth (about 10 minutes). Let rise to double the size. Shape as desired and let rise until double again. Bake in 375 degree oven for 15 minutes.
  2. Dough will keep 5-6 days in refrigerator.
