DUSTY'S PEANUT BRITTLE
- 1 c. white syrup
- 2 c. sugar
- ½ c. water
- 1-1/2 c. raw peanuts
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. soda
- ½ tsp. salt
- Combine syrup, sugar and water in saucepan. Boil slowly until syrup spins a fine thread. Add peanuts and continue to cook to 300 degrees or hard ball stage and a golden brown. Add butter, vanilla, salt and soda and stir until blended. Pour on a well buttered jelly roll pan. Cool.
