DATE BREAD
 
Ingredients
  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • ¾ c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/2 c. flour
  • ½ c. nuts
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
Instructions
  1. Sprinkle soda over dates. Add the boiling water. Cool.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar. Add salt, egg and vanilla. Add date mixture and nuts and flour. Bake in 300 degree oven for 1 hour.
