CREAM CARAMEL
- 2 c. sugar
- ¾ c. light syrup
- ½ c. butter
- 1 c. cream
- 1 c. nuts - broken pieces
- Bring sugar, syrup, butter, and one cup of cream to a slow boil, stirring in gradually one more cup of cream. Stir frequently as mixture begins to thicken and darkens. Cook until a little dropped in cold water forms a hard ball. Pour into buttered 9x9 inch pan with broken nuts scattered over the bottom. Cut into squares.
