CINNAMON COFFEE ROLLS
Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- ½ c. milk
- FILLING:
- ⅓ c. margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- ⅓ c. currants or cut raisins
Instructions
- Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Cut in 4 tablespoons of margarine and add milk to form a soft dough. Roll out into long rectangle ⅓ inch thick. Cream the margarine, brown sugar and cinnamon well. Spread teaspoonfuls on the bottom of small muffin tin. Spread the rest over dough. Sprinkle on currants or raisins. Roll up and cut into slices. Put in tins, cut edge down. Bake in 350 degree oven, about 20 minutes. Remove at once from tins turning rolls gently to pick up the sugar coating. Makes 18 rolls. Serve hot.
