BLINTZES
Ingredients
- 1 loaf fresh sandwich bread
FILLING:
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 egg yolk
- ½ c. sugar
- 1 tsp. grated orange rind
- oleo
- sugar
- cinnamon
Instructions
- Cut off bread crusts and roll flat with rolling pin. Mix the filling and then spread filling on each piece and roll up placing seam side down. Roll each filled blintz in melted oleo and then in a sugar-cinnamon mixture. Place seam-side down in a container and freeze. Take directly from freezer and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. May be served warm or cold.
Notes
These are handy to have in the freezer so you can bake as many as you want, a few or all at one time. Joan Larson Erickson
