BARBECUED BRISKET
Ingredients
- 4-5 lb. beef brisket
- Liquid Smoke
- onion salt
- celery salt
- garlic salt
- barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Cover both sides with Liquid Smoke, onion salt, celery salt and garlic salt. Place in heavy aluminum foil and let set in refrigerator overnight. Remove from foil paper and bake in covered roaster for about 4 hours at 250 degrees (very slow oven).
- Remove cover and bake ½ hour with barbecue sauce on top of meat. Place meat back in heavy foil paper and put in the refrigerator to get cold. (Is much easier to cut when cold.) Save juice in roaster and use for reheating meat to keep it from drying out. Reheat before serving, for about ¾ hour, wrapped tightly in foil paper with some of the juice on meat. Place on cookie sheet in oven in case the juice leaks out.
